Polygon Transaction Fee
How Polygon Transaction Fees Work
Polygon transaction fees, commonly referred to as gas fees, are paid in POL (formerly MATIC) to compensate validators who process and secure transactions on the Polygon PoS network. Gas fees on Polygon are significantly lower than on Ethereum — typically less than $0.01 per transaction — making it one of the most cost-efficient blockchains available.

The gas fee for a Polygon transaction is calculated by multiplying the gas limit (the maximum amount of computational work required) by the gas price (the amount of POL you are willing to pay per unit of gas, measured in Gwei). For a simple POL transfer, the gas limit is typically 21,000 units. With a gas price of around 115 Gwei, this results in a fee of less than $0.01.
